News from Brennan & White!

Hello! It’s been awhile since our last Brennan & White update and there’s big news to share!

November 15th marks the premiere of our first musical, ALiEN8! The Drexel Co-op Theatre Company has been rehearsing tirelessly to get the show off the ground. Kate, David and Ignition Arts Managing Director Greg DeCandia have been engaged with students as part of Drexel’s Mandell Professionals in Residence Project. The production is directed by Nick Anselmo and features some insanely talented students working side by side with some Philly professionals. Back in July, Kate & Greg presented a four-day workshop for Drexel students that included work on the ALiEN8 score. In September, rehearsals began with David in attendance. We can’t wait for opening night and we hope to see you there! See the info below for more information.

But that’s not all. Back in May, David, Kate and Greg spent a week in Oklahoma City workshopping the second Brennan & White musical CLEAN SLATE with Ignition Arts in residence at the Lyric Theatre. We hope to see a workshop of CLEAN SLATE in New Jersey this Spring. In May of 2020, Work will begin in Oklahoma on our third show in the Infinity Trilogy – ILLUMINATE. There will also be a brief story about our work in Dramatists Magazine sometime in early 2020.

For more information, feel free to drop us a line or take a look at our website. Hope to see you later this month at Drexel!

Best,

Kate & David

ALiEN8

Music & Lyrics by Kate Brennan

With Ignition Arts in residence

This world premiere musical tells the story of a small American town that is radically redefined by a natural disaster, a dark secret from its past and the arrival of a mysterious stranger known only as “Eight.” Through music, dance, and drama we experience a story of change, forgiveness, and inclusion as a wounded town and its residents attempt to heal their fractured soul.
